Effective date: July 12, 2026
Notecram (“the app”) is a notes and study-flashcard app. It was built to keep your information private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
None. Notecram does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no accounts to create, and there are no servers that receive your data. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Everything you create in Notecram — notes, flashcards, folders, tags, study history, and settings — is stored on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes this content from your device.
If you turn on iCloud Sync (an optional Pro feature, off by default), a copy of your notes is also stored in your own private iCloud account so they stay up to date across your Apple devices. This uses Apple’s iCloud service; the data lives in your personal iCloud and is not accessible to us. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Turning the feature off stops syncing new changes.
Notecram can turn a note into flashcards using Apple Intelligence, which runs entirely on your device. The text of your note is processed locally to generate the cards — it is not sent to us or to any external server. If the on-device model is unavailable or declines a note, the app falls back to simple keyword-based cards, also generated on your device.
Notecram asks for certain device permissions only when you use the related feature, and the resulting data stays on your device:
Notecram offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase (“Notecram Pro”) that unlocks AI flashcards and study, the document scanner, smart writing tools, PDF export, and iCloud sync. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your name, payment card, or any billing information. The app only receives confirmation of whether the Pro unlock has been purchased, so it can enable those features. Apple’s handling of your purchase is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Notecram does not share any data with third parties. The only external service the app interacts with is Apple’s App Store, solely to process the optional purchase and to restore it across your devices when you ask it to.
Notecram does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
